As BoxingScene.com reported earlier, British heavyweight Joe Joyce has reunited with Cuban coach Ismael Salas.
Joyce had previously trained with Salas, but also had stints with Abel Sanchez and most recently with Adam Booth.
In a make or break fight for the Olympic silver medal winner, Joyce will face fellow unbeaten Daniel Dubois on April 11 in the main event of a BT Sports Box Office card.
Joyce will be training in Las Vegas with Salas, to prepare for one of the most anticipated fights in the heavyweight division.
Salas is confident that he'll have Joyce in top form to topple Dubois.
"Surely this fight has some life and death aspects for Joyce," Salas admitted to George Ebro. "But I've already structured a special plan to bring him to his best form in the time we have left. I've already selected the sparring and I know what I want to achieve and where I want to get to before the fight.
"Abel and Booth did a good job [with Joyce], but I don't think they understood Joyce's body well. Joe needs coordination, moving all his limbs well to deploy his best boxing."
Both Joyce and Dubois are big heavyweights who pack a big punch. Joyce has the edge in experience, while Dubois in the younger man and has the edge in hand speed.
Like Joyce, the veteran Cuban coach is not overly impressed with Dubois' record and views this contest as a big step up in class for the young fighter.
"Dubois.. I've been following him since he debuted, he does not have many resources, but he does have a good jab and a powerful right. But Joyce also hits hard and has good boxing. Dubois, actually, hasn't beaten anyone important. Joyce will also be his first serious test," Salas said.
