Rising lightweight star Ryan Garcia (20-0, 17 KOs) is just a few days away from the biggest fight of his young career.

On Saturday night in Texas, Garcia will face Olympic gold medal winner Luke Campbell for the vacant WBC interim-title.

Campbell has three defeats on his record. He avenged one of those defeats, which came at the hands of Yvan Mendy. And the other two losses were competitive decisions to former world champions Vasiliy Lomachenko and Jorge Linares.

A win over Campbell would solidify Garcia's position as top level fighter in the weight class.

But in terms of a career-defining fight - Garcia views Gervonta 'Tank' Davis as the preferred opponent on the landscape.

If Garcia had his way, he would face Davis as soon as possible in 2021.

"I need to defeat Tank Davis. My legacy starts with Tank. I want him next," Garcia told ESPN.

Davis was in action back in October, when he pulled off a brutal one-punch knockout of Leo Santa Cruz. The ending was viewed by many as the 2020 'Knockout of The Year.'

Garcia has a huge following on social media. And Davis also has a big following on social media and with the urban markets.

Their combined marketability is a recipe for a major event, says Garcia.

However, Garcia is not confident that Davis wants to fight him and believes that he needs to do whatever is necessary, including constant trash talk, to get Davis in the ring.

"That's why Ryan Garcia vs. Gervonta Davis is going to be one of the biggest fights you've ever seen," Garcia said. "I have to make the bully want to bully me. Or shame him. I got to do something to get him in that ring."
