Rudy Ochoa: record, next fight and profile →
Young prospects and unbeaten fighters will take the stage tonight in Oxnard, California. Welterweight Vlad Panin will face Cristian Mino in a six-round bout at the Performing Arts Center, with first bell scheduled for 6 p.m. PT.
SANTA YNEZ, California - John Dato did not want to let down his family and friends, even if it meant facing a fighter physically bigger than him.
Unbeaten prospects will highlight the non-televised undercard this Saturday, July 3 as Angel Alejandro battles fellow unbeaten Rudy Ochoa in an eight-round super featherweight duel, while Shon Mondragón takes on José Pérez in a six-round featherweight attraction from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California in a Premier Boxing Champions event.
Rudy Ochoa hopes to follow in the same footsteps as famous fighters who grew in the boxing hotbed of Oxnard, California. Who knows whether Ochoa could pan out to be another Robert Garcia, Fernando Vargas, or Mikey Garcia, but the unbeaten lightweight is moving in the right direction.
