It took Subriel Matias exactly two rounds Saturday to remind the world why he is a destructive force in the junior welterweight division, blasting Roberto Ramirez in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Junior welterweights Subriel Matias and Roberto Ramirez both weighed in at 140lbs on Friday, landing on the junior welterweight limit for Saturday’s main event at Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Former junior welterweight titleholder Subriel Matias will return to the ring on November 9 in a 10-round bout against Roberto Ramirez at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. The event will be broadcast on PPV.com and iN Demand.

Lightweight contender William Zepeda, considered by many to be the best fighter in the division without a title, isn't exactly chatty. But who needs to talk when you throw punches the way he does?

William Zepeda helped ring in boxing’s newest series with a bang. The unbeaten lightweight from San Mateo Atenco, Mexico remained perfect in the pro ranks following a 5th round stoppage of countryman Roberto Ramirez. The bout served as the televised opener of NBC Sports Network’s Ring City series which debuted Thursday evening from Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.

Years of hard work put into the Ring City boxing series were not put to waste at the scale. All fighters made weight for the inaugural installment of the developmental boxing series, which airs live Thursday evening on NBC Sports Network (9:00 p.m. ET) from the historic Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles, California.

Ring City USA, a new boxing broadcast and content platform, announced today its first main event and co-feature for November 19, 2020. The inaugural event kicks off a broader, long-term rights deal between NBC Sports Group and Ring City that will feature live boxing events on Thursday nights on NBCSN through 2021.

Fringe lightweight contender Roberto Ramirez will square off against Luis Enrique Luna tonight at the Gimnasio Burocratas in Tijuana, Mexico. The 10-round bout will headline a co-promotion between Paco Presents and In Box Carmen. Ramirez (21-2-1, 15 knockouts) stopped Luis Lugo in his last bout on July 26 in his hometown of Tijuana. He is unbeaten in his last nine bouts since losing by knockout to Abel Ramos in June of 2013.

Roberto Ramirez ruined Dejan Zlaticanin’s comeback Thursday night. Mexico’s Ramirez (18-2-1, 13 KOs) knocked down the former WBC world lightweight champion twice and stopped him in the second round of a scheduled 10-round, 135-pound bout in New York.
