Former champion Ricky Hatton is not happy with the latest developments surrounding his younger brother's fight this Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The fight between Matthew Hatton and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez was agreed upon for a catch-weight of 150-pounds. There is news that the WBC, because their vacant junior middleweight belt is at stake, will demand the fight takes place at the full limit of 154-pounds.

If Alvarez steps on Friday's official scale and his weight is anything above the contracted limit of 150, Ricky will advise Matthew to withdraw from the fight.

Ricky told Jeff Powell of Dail Mail - "Our contract with Golden Boy promotions stipulates both fighters come in at or under 150 lbs. If Alvarez is above that I would want Matthew to call it off. He is already giving away weight to a bigger man."

Ricky was present for Alvarez's open workout on Tuesday, and said the Mexican boxer does not appear like a fighter who is draining down to make weight. There is a clause in the fight contract that calls for Alvarez to lose 30% of his purse if he weighs in above the contract limit of 150. Ricky doesn't care about the money. He will tell Matthew to walk away.

"The lad doesn't look to me like he's draining down to the agreed limit. His face doesn't look drawn like mine did when I had to make the weight. I'm wondering if he's just going to come in at his usual poundage, pay the fine that's in the contract and expect the fight to go on."
