


Russian light heavyweight hopeful Imam Khataev has been branded the next Artur Beterbiev. Khataev (6-0, 6 KOs) claimed a bronze medal for Russia at the Tokyo Olympic Games that took place in 2021. He turned professional following a semi-final defeat to Great Britain’s Ben Whittaker, and has found himself under the guidance of Camille Estephan’s Montreal based Eye of the Tiger.

Ricards Bolotniks wants to bring competitive fights back to his native Riga, Latvia. The Latvian light heavyweight, 20-7-1 (8 KOs), appeared from relative obscurity with wins over the UK’s Steven Ward and Hosea Burton in 2019 and 2020, following up with a knockout victory over the undefeated Serge Michel. Bolotniks was the underdog every time.

For five rounds Saturday night, Oleksandr Gvozdyk didn’t at all resemble the unbeaten WBC light heavyweight champion who knocked out Adonis Stevenson four years ago.

Oleksandr Gvozdyk is excited and eager to continue the next stage of his career. Gvozdyk will face Ricards Bolotniks Saturday night at Estadio Akron in Zapopan, Mexico. The 10-round light heavyweight bout will be part of the Canelo Alvarez-John Ryder undercard that will stream live on DAZN PPV (7 p.m. ET/ 4 p.m. PT).

British heavyweight contender Fabio Wardley will face American Michael Polite-Coffie on the undercard of Anthony Joshua’s clash with Jermaine Franklin at The O2 in London on Saturday April 1, live worldwide on DAZN – as Austin ‘Ammo’ Williams will look to close in on a clash with rival Felix Cash, with ‘Ammo’ meeting River Wilson-Bent before Cash challenges Matteo Signani for the European Middleweight Title.

Craig Richards will face Ricards Bolotniks for the WBA Intercontinental Light-Heavyweight Title and EBU European Middleweight Champion Matteo Signani will defend his belt against Felix Cash at The O2 in London on Saturday April 1, live worldwide on DAZN.

Latvian light heavyweight Ricards Bolotniks (19-6-1) flew into London last month to face Craig Richards (17-3-1). The bout was scheduled to take place on the Dillian Whyte Vs Jermaine Franklin undercard, which was promoted by Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing.
