Scott Quigg produced a superb display to take Jason Booth's British super bantamweight title in convincing style at the Reebok Arena on Saturday night.

Reebok Stadium, Bolton - Scott Quigg (23-0, 16KOs) stopped Jason Booth (36-8, 15KOs) in seven rounds to capture the British super bantamweight title. Booth was crafty in the first four rounds with his defense and movement, but the younger Quigg started doing a number on the champion in the fifth. Quigg continued to put a beating on Booth in the sixth and seventh rounds. Enough was enough, as promoter Frank Maloney entered Booth's corner and they made a team decision to stop the fight before the eight round.

Jason Booth insists there is still plenty of life left in his amazing career. The British Super-Bantamweight champion outs his title on the line for the fifth time against unbeaten prospect Scott Quigg, live on Saturday night on Sky Sports HD. It will be the 44th professional outing of the Nottingham man's life, which has seen a long-standing battle with alcoholism out of the ring at times take over a successful time in it, in which he lost his only world title tilt, but has dominated domestically.

Ashton under Lyne’s Jon Kays has been added to the undercard of Jason Booth’s October 22nd British super-bantamweight title defence. Booth faces undefeated contender Scott Quigg in Bolton with Kays set to take promotional stable mate Brian Rose’s slot on the bill.

JASON BOOTH has been told by his own promoter that he will be in the last chance saloon when he meets Scott Quigg next month.
