Photos: Vitali Klitschko Batters a Brave Albert Sosnowski

At the Veltins Arena, in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko (40-2, 38 KOs) beat down a brave Albert Sosnowski (45-3-1, 27 KOs) of Poland to score a stoppage in the tenth round. Sosnowski was a huge underdog who lasted much longer than expected, but took a lot of punishment along the way before the referee called off the contest as Klitschko landed two right hands that sent Sosnowski down and out in the corner.

The way the fight went it makes me wonder whether he ON PURPOSE fights more rounds than needed. To please the audience or to please RTL.

I was quite impressed with Vitali actually. He looked like he was taking it easy and using the opportunity to try out new things in the ring. Very relaxed and confident. Aside from a few snappy jabs, nothing of consequence…
