A Brooklyn superfight between natives Zab Judah and Paulie Malignaggi is being seriously discussed for Dec. 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., according to a source involved in the process. If the fight is made, it would land as the co-feature to the proposed Amir Khan-Devon Alexander bout. Judah (42-8, 29 KOs) and Malignaggi represent the two biggest names in boxing from Brooklyn and the fight would be hotly anticipated in the New York borough. Judah is a former undisputed welterweight champion, but has been campaigning at 140 pounds and would move back up for the fight. Malignaggi fought most of his career at junior welterweight and isn't a big welterweight.

Adrien Broner secured his third world title when he defeated Paulie Malignaggi last June at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY in his welterweight debut. Broner won via split decision but Malignaggi felt he should’ve been awarded the victory. Since then, Paulie has stated he wants a rematch with Broner and even took to Twitter to once again express his desire for a second fight. Recent reports from Richard Schaefer and Broner himself confirm they are looking in a different direction as Broner’s next opponent will likely be hard hitting Marcos Maidana. BoxingScene caught up with Broner and asked him if he would still be interested in tangling with Malignaggi again. “Negative. I rather see him fight another guy and I’ll support Paulie because at the end of the day Paulie is a friend of mine. But this is a business so when he fights me, it’s f**k Paulie. But now that our business is over, I would like to see Paulie finish his career or stay a commentator because he can talk his ass off” Broner would tell BoxingScene.

Former three division champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley (47-8-1, 39KOs) spoke to BoxingScene.com about Adrien Broner's arrival to the welterweight division. Broner (27-0, 22KOs) jumped from lightweight to welterweight last month and won a twelve round split decision to capture the WBA championship. After a one year layoff, Mosley returned to action in May and won a twelve round decision over Pablo Cesar Cano in Cancun, Mexico. Mosley is eager to get another shot at the welterweight crown and likes his chances against Broner. BoxingScene.com: Thoughts on Broner's welterweight debut. Mosley: I think Adrien Broner did pretty good. It was his first fight at welterweight moving up. You could see that he wasn't a full-fledged welterweight yet. For what he had, he did well. I think 140 would be a possibly good weight to go down to because that's more of his size, but I think he did some pretty good things with Paulie. He landed some nice clean shots with him. I thought he did pretty good at welterweight considering.

Before the final scores were read, Paulie Malignaggi was seen on camera talking into Adrien Broner's ear after their fight two weeks ago in Brooklyn, NY. Many fans took to the various social networks speculating that Malignaggi was congratulating the soon to be named new WBA welterweight champion. On a recent edition of BoxingScene Radio, Maliganggi said that couldn't be further from the truth. "No I wasn't saying that. They must be smoking some good stuff. I wasn't talking about the decision at all. I was telling him that he has the ability to be liked and not be so unlikable," Malignaggi revealed.

Paulie Malignaggi appeared on this week's edition of BoxingScene Radio to talk about his split decision loss to Adrien Broner. Malignaggi won on one scorecard by the score of 115-113 while Broner received the nod 115-113 and 117-111 on the other two cards. The former two-division champion said that Broner should ask for a rematch to prove that he can convincingly beat him.
