Carlos Adames and Patrick Teixeira were supposed to meet Saturday night in an elimination match to determine the mandatory challenger for the WBO’s junior middleweight title. Now that WBO 154-pound champion Jaime Munguia officially has moved up to middleweight, the WBO has sanctioned Adames-Teixeira as a fight for an interim portion of that championship in Las Vegas.
The rising iron-fisted star of the 154-pound division, Carlos “Caballo Bronco” Adames, will lock horns with Patrick Teixeira in a 12-round WBO junior middleweight title eliminator Saturday, Nov. 30 at The Chelsea inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
Jaime Munguia (32-0, 26 KOs) will make the fourth defense of his WBO Junior Middleweight World Title when he takes on mandatory challenger Dennis "Hurricane" Hogan (28-1-1, 7 KOS) in a 12-round battle. The event will take place on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico and will be streamed live on DAZN .
Southpaw Patrick Teixeira (27-1, 22 KO’s) will be fighting against fellow countryman Davi “El Loco” Eliasquevici (14-4-1, 11 KO’s) for the WBO Latino super welterweight belt on April 7th, in Jundiai, Sao Paulo, according to the information given by the IBG – International Boxing Group, which is Teixeira’s management company. The once-beaten fighter is also promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in the United States.

In the first boxing event that was staged at the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Teixeira (26-1, 22 KO's) was given a showcase position as part of the HBO Pay-Per-View undercard to Canelo Alvarez's clash with Amir Khan.
