O’Shaquie Foster: record, next fight and profile →
O’Shaquie Foster is ready to shine as he makes the first defense of his WBC World Super-Featherweight title against Rocky Hernandez on Saturday night in Cancun, Mexico, live worldwide on DAZN – and the champion believes he will display his full arsenal on the night as he sent a chilling KO message to IBF ruler Joe Cordina.

O’Shaquie Foster and Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernandez are fit to fight. The pair of newfound rivals both came in right at the 130-pound junior lightweight divisional limit for their DAZN headliner this Saturday from Poliforum Benito Juarez in Cancun. Foster will make the maiden defense of his WBC title, while Mexico City’s Hernandez attempts his first shot at a major title.
Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernandez took the same approach to the final pre-fight press conference as he does in the ring. The red-hot knockout artist from Mexico City cut to the chase from the moment he was introduced to the rabid crowd on hand for Thursday’s media session in Cancun. Hernandez and reigning WBC junior lightweight titlist O’Shaquie Foster have quickly evolved into bitter rivals this week, to where the underdog challenger guaranteed victory.

O’Shaquie Foster can’t see any reason to not deliver a spectacular performance this weekend. The perfect style matchup is in store for the supremely skilled WBC junior lightweight titlist, who faces mandatory challenger Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernandez. The boxer versus puncher matchup will headline a DAZN show this Saturday from Poliforum Benito Juarez in Cancun, Mexico.
By Jake Donovan - O’Shaquie Foster has been avoided by enough of his divisional peers to where he occasionally has to do a double take when one actually accepts a fight offer. The matchup lined up for this weekend was ordered by the WBC, whose junior lightweight title he claimed earlier this year. Mandatory challenger Eduardo ‘Rocky’ Hernandez and his team eventually came around and agreed to proceed with the Mexican’s first title challenge.
