Nathan Gorman: record, next fight and profile →
Fast-rising Heavyweight prospect Daniel Dubois returns on December 9th at the Copper Box Arena against Dorian Darch as he looks to continue his ascent to the top of the division. Fellow British Heavyweight Nathan Gorman recently spoke about a potential match-up with the man known as ‘Dynamite’. Dubois took some time to respond:
Unbeaten Heavyweight prospect Nathan Gorman is open to taking on stablemate Daniel Dubois. On Saturday night, the Ricky Hatton-trained heavyweight picked up the WBC International Silver Title after stopping Mohamed Soltby, moving to 11-0 (9 KOs).
Nathan Gorman added another belt to his collection. The former Central Area heavyweight king won the WBC International Silver bauble in Newcastle. Gorman, trained by Ricky Hatton, is just 21 and produced a mature display at the Metro Radio Arena, exclusively live on BT Sport and BoxNation.
Nathan Gorman has been forced to deal with an opponent swap ahead of his next fight. The undefeated heavyweight had been set to vie for the English title in less than two weeks. Gorman (10-0, 8 KOs) was meant to come up against Nick Webb (11-0, 9 KOs) for the belt on November 11, exclusively live on BoxNation and BT Sport.
THE BRITISH HEAVYWEIGHT title remained in English hands on Friday night but, to my mind, the residence of the belt in Norfolk could turn out to be a short stay. Norwich’s Sam Sexton outpointed Gary Cornish from Inverness in front of the BoxNation cameras to become the new champion while, at the same time, there would’ve been a few young heavies watching on at home believing the crown is there for the taking. One of the main reasons for BoxNation broadcasting the fight was due to a big interest in taking on the winner from our own heavy mob.
Ricky Hatton-trained Heavyweight prospect Nathan Gorman believes his English Title fight with Nick Webb cannot fail to entertain. Gorman fights for the vacant title on November 11th as part of the sizzling Liam Smith v Liam Williams 2 card in Newcastle, live on BT Sport and BoxNation. "We both want that English title badly and I'm predicting fireworks on the night," said the 21-year-old. "He's 11-0 with nine knockouts, I'm 10-0 with eight knockouts.
Nathan Gorman has signed a deal with Frank Warren. The heavyweight, who is trained by Ricky Hatton, will see his fights screened on BoxNation and BT Sport, as part of the agreement. Gorman, who added another victory to his unblemished ledger on July 15 at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool, will be back in action in the new season.
Our burgeoning heavy mob welcomed a new arrival last week when the hugely promising Nathan Gorman was added to the ranks. At the age of just 21, Nathan has already got nine fights under his belt and will move into double figures this weekend at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool. He has already demonstrated his undoubted power – with seven KOs recorded so far – as well as proving he can do the rounds with an impressive landslide points victory over domestic contender Dominic Akinlade last time out in April.
WBA world rated "SUPER" Darragh Foley steps back in the ring next Saturday 8th April for the first time in 2017. The Irishman is set to defend his WBA strap for the second time against former WBC Youth World Champion Sonny Katiandagho (11-1) in Australia.
NATHAN GORMAN believes he will be facing Dominic Akinlade at his best in London this weekend. The Ricky Hatton-trained prospect locks horns with the New Cross banger at the National Sports Centre, Crystal Palace tomorrow night (April 1). And he feels Akinlade will be back firing on all cylinders following a shock loss to Josh Sandland over six rounds in February.
