Hall of Fame trainer Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain is confident that his pupil, Marco "Dorado" Reyes, has what it takes to defeat former middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. next Saturday night in El Paso, Texas. They will clash in a Premier Boxing Champions televised main event.

"We have worked very well, (Marco) is a disciplined boy who has great physical condition and is very motivated by the opportunity they are giving him," Nacho said to ESPN Deportes.

Chavez Jr. has changed trainers several times over the years. In the last three years he went from trainer Freddie Roach to his uncle Rodolfo Chavez, and then to Joe Goossen, and now to Robert Garcia of Oxnard.

"I think the problem is the son of the legend and not the trainer. The problem is that maybe he doesn't like to train. He was training with his aunts and uncles who are boxing people that have all of the enthusiasm in the world. He's changing his trainer all the time and that is very damaging to the fighter," Nacho said.

Nacho is predicting a victory by decision and says he "would be surprised" if Chavez suffered a knockout loss. Chavez is returning from a stoppage loss to light heavyweight contender Andrzej Fonfara in April.
