Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is hinting at the scenario of continuing his in-ring run beyond his upcoming return in November.
Tyson will face former four division world champion Roy Jones Jr. on November 28th, in a pay-per-view main event.
The contest, scheduled as an eight round exhibition fight, will be the first fight for Tyson since 2005 - when he was stopped by journeyman Kevin McBride.
Beyond the fight with Jones, Tyson is interested in continuing to fight, likely in more exhibitions.
Tyson, 54-years-old, indicates that he's not returning for the money, he wants help charitable organizations by donating portions of the revenues raised from his events.
“I believe this is just going to be the beginning, and whatever happens, happens in life. I’m just interested in fighting for the title of giving. It feels soul-cleaning for some reason. Doing it for myself doesn’t do it for me no more," Tyson told Sun Sport.
Jones, 51-years-old, has been away from the ring since early 2018.
At the moment, the heavyweight division is booming with talent at the very top and there are plenty of formidable prospects and contenders on the rise.
At the same time, there is still trouble getting the best heavyweights in the ring against each other.
Currently the biggest fight in the division is a high-stakes unification between world champions Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
"They're all exciting fighters, they're all going to make a great deal of money but they just need to fight each other. Stop bullsh-tting and just fight each other. Fight each other a couple of times and when that stuff is over you guys can say, 'Hey, listen, we did it out way'," Tyson said.
