Former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) will continue to grow his role as a promoter, but like any good entrepreneur he needs the right people at his side.

Miguel Cotto joked that he feels 16, not 36. His family feels different about nearly a 16-year pro career that has included numerous brutal bouts. His wife and four children think Cotto has given more than enough of himself in boxing rings.

Michael Yormark, President of Roc Nation, is hoping to continue his relationship with former four division world champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33KOs). A press conference was held on Monday to officially announce Cotto's return on February 25th in Frisco, Texas. The Puerto Rican star will face James Kirkland in the main event of an HBO Pay-Per-View card.

Two fighters Canelo Alvarez has beaten won’t draw the type of crowd the Mexican superstar helped lure to Jerry Jones’ football stadium September 17. Jones still expects the Miguel Cotto-James Kirkland fight to be successful at the gate February 25 in Frisco, Texas. The Dallas Cowboys’ owner says he expects a crowd in excess of 10,000 to attend the HBO Pay-Per-View main event between Puerto Rico’s Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) and Kirkland (32-2, 28 KOs), of Austin, Texas, at his team’s training facility – The Ford Center at The Star.

FRISCO, TX – On Monday, December 19, 2016, Five-Time World Champion Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33 KOs) and James “Mandingo Warrior” Kirkland (32-2, 28 KOs) participated in an official press conference to kick off the announcement of their February 25 showdown at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. Dubbed as “The Return”, the anticipated bout is a 12-round junior middleweight contest. The event will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.

Ann Wolfe will make sure James Kirkland prepares better for his fight against Miguel Cotto than he did for his last fight. Wolfe didn’t work with Kirkland for his third-round knockout loss to Canelo Alvarez in May 2015, but she has returned to his team to help him prepare for his February 25 showdown with Cotto in Frisco, Texas. Their 12-round junior middleweight match, the headliner of an HBO Pay-Per-View event, was officially announced during a press conference Monday at The Ford Center at The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ training facility and the site for their fight.

James Kirkland’s last fight resulted in Canelo Alvarez brutally knocking out the heavy-handed junior middleweight. The veteran from Austin, Texas, hasn’t fought since Alvarez knocked him out in the third round of their May 2015 fight at Minute Maid Park in Houston. Those are the primary reasons why everyone wants to know why Cotto, coming off his own loss to Alvarez nearly 13 months ago in Las Vegas, decided to fight Kirkland on February 25 in Frisco, Texas.

At first glance, Ann Wolfe can offer a menacing presence. Once a no-nonsense dominant boxer, she has gained notoriety in her work with southpaw knockout artist and fellow Austin, Texas native James Kirkland, gaining a reputation as an in-your-face chief second. However, just below the surface is a motherly instinct whose loyalty knows no bounds.

Coming off respective losses to Canelo Alvarez, both fighters will be seeking redemption in a 12-round junior middleweight showdown. The event will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.

Ann Wolfe thinks skeptics are underestimating how entertaining of an action fight Miguel Cotto-James Kirkland will turn out to be. Wolfe fired back at critics of Cotto-Kirkland being made an HBO Pay-Per-View main event February 25 in Frisco, Texas, during a press conference to officially announce the fight Monday at the Dallas Cowboys’ training facility. Cotto-Kirkland could be the first pay-per-view event of five in consecutive months next year, but Wolfe contended it’ll be well worth the extra cost.
