American heavyweight boxer Chauncy Welliver's fired a warning message at Sonny Bill Williams (6-0, 3KOs) and his camp ahead of their bout at the end of January.

Welliver has 70 fights to his name with 55 wins, and gets the feeling there's not a lot of respect coming out of Williams' team.

"You know me being a bigger guy, I expect [Sonny Bill Williams] to run and run," said Welliver.

"But I am going to show up in shape and I got a little bit of a treat for him.

"I've already started training, already started my dieting, I'm tearing the house down, beating Sonny Bill Williams gives me something to retire on."

The American has had three fights this year, losing all of them – the latest two weeks ago in Moscow against Alexander Ustinov.
