Floyd Mayweather Sr., father and trainer of Floyd Mayweather Jr., sees absolutely no reason for his son to return to the ring in the future.
Mayweather, 38-years-old, raised his record to 49-0 on September 12th with a twelve round decision over Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
After that win, Mayweather announced his retirement from boxing, after 19-years as a pro, and claims that he won't return in the future.
Most fighters continue to box for the money, but Mayweather was already loaded and added $300 million to his account from the May 2 win over Manny Pacquiao.
Floyd Sr. would advise his son to avoid any outside pressure to return to the ring and only attempt a comeback if he's mentally focused to do so.
"All of them top guys, he beat all of them. What is he supposed to do, go back and beat them again? Boxing don't go like that. When you get to a certain stat, my son already broke all the stats. There ain't nothing left for him to do but fight when he want to fight," Mayweather Sr. said.
"I can't choose that for him. I can only say what I want to say. I can't speak for him. He's a grown man. I know what I would do, I would walk away because ain't nothing to prove. All everyone in boxing wants today is a bunch of money and he got all that, so what else? It aint like he got a little money, he got a whole bunch of money. There aint no reason to show nothing if you aint feeling like it. I don't care what people say. If you aint feeling it, don't do it."
