MGM Grand, Las Vegas - WBC/WBA welterweight and junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (46-0, 26KOs) is still trying to mentor his close friend, former three division champion Adrien Broner (29-1, 22KOs.

This past Saturday night in Cincinnati, Broner secure a solid victory with a twelve round unanimous decision over junior welterweight contender Emmanuel Taylor. Mayweather watched the fight and he was impressed by what he saw.

"After watching college football, I tuned in to the Adrien Broner fight. I was impressed. I actually had a long talk with Adrien the day before yesterday. He's a remarkable fighter. He has all the tools, all the skills, but there is a lot that he has to learn - not just inside the ring but outside the ring. I was young like him at one particular time and I made certain moves that I shouldn't have made but I didn't have a Floyd Mayweather to tell me - 'you shouldn't do this or you shouldn't do that.' Adrien Broner is a good kid, but he's still learning. He's still young," Mayweather said.
