UFC superstar Jorge Masvidal is backing Tyron Woodley to knock Jake Paul out cold.

Woodley, a former UFC world champion and at one-time regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in MMA, is going to have a boxing match with Youtube star Jake Paul on August 29th at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. Showtime Pay-Per-View will carry the event.

Woodley, 39-years-old, has far more experience in combat sports - but he's never boxed and most observers are backing the 24-year-old Paul, who is only 3-0 with 3 knockouts, to win the fight.

But, Masvidal is not one of those observers. He would view a win by Paul as an upset.

"So if Jake wins, f------ wow. My hat's off to him, I was wrong. I don't know sh!t about fighting, right? But, chances are Woodley is gonna knock him the f--- out," Masvidal told the MMA Hour.

Woodley is easily the toughest opponent of Paul's career.

Paul, a prospect without a big amateur background in the sport, has been matched very carefully. His three pro wins came against YouTuber AnEson Gib, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and MMA veteran Ben Askren.

Woodley believes the fight will be the easiest encounter of his combat sports career.

"Easiest fight of my career & biggest purse of my career all in one night. Basically, they brought me in to take out the trash. Can't wait to shut this bitch up. This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports," Woodley said.
