Martin Harkin: record, next fight and profile →
Sam Eggington earned himself a WBC ranking at middleweight as he pounded his way to a unanimous points decision over Carlos Molina, Mexico’s former IBF super-welterweight champion, in Coventry.
Sam Eggington’s shootout against Carlos Molina for the WBC Silver middleweight championship headlines the Hennessy Sports show on Saturday 22nd May at the Coventry Skydome Arena, live and free on Channel 5, but chief-support Kaisee Benjamin and Martin Harkin are promising to eclipse that and deliver the fight of the night in their hotly anticipated British welterweight title eliminator.
Michael McKinson extended his unbeaten record to 19 fights as he won a landslide points decision over Martin Harkin in a welterweight ten-rounder on the MTK Global show in Wakefield and then called out domestic rivals Josh Kelly, Conor Benn and Chris Kongo.
In the co-main event, recent world title challenger Jay Harris (17-1, 9 KOs) looks to build on the fantastic showing he produced against Julio Cesar Martinez, when he defends his Commonwealth flyweight title in a brilliant match-up against Marcel Braithwaite (9-2).
