Dmitriy Salita wants to use Salita Promotions’ Big Time Boxing USA series to revive boxing in Detroit and to stage regular fights in New York. Ardreal Holmes Jr’s victory over Marlon Harrington at Detroit’s Wayne State Fieldhouse on February 20 represented the start of their broadcast agreement with DAZN, and Salita, who once fought out of the city’s revered Kronk gym, hopes that it will be the first of many.

The 36-year-old middleweight was 155 pounds during Friday’s weigh-in, exactly five pounds lighter than her weight for each of her past three starts. Her latest trip to the scales comes ahead of her challenge of three-division and reigning undisputed middleweight champion and pound-for-pound queen Claressa Shields, who was 159.6 pounds for their DAZN main event Saturday from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey – Marquis Taylor got credit for his work this time around. Eight months after his dubious draw with Paul Kroll, the junior middleweight won an eight-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Detroit native Marlon Harrington on Friday night. Judges Jacklyn Atkins (79-73), Anthony Lundy (80-72) and Joseph Pasquale (79-73) all scored their fight for Taylor by wide distances.
