Tony Harrison seems more impressed with Luis Arias’ performance during their run-in earlier this spring than in the ring this past weekend.

NEW YORK – Luis Arias bounced back Saturday night from an upset loss to Vaughn Alexander 5½ months earlier. An assertive Arias went for the knockout of Jimmy Williams throughout their 10-round junior middleweight match. Arias never got that knockout and grew tired in the later rounds, but the Milwaukee native still won a wide unanimous decision on the Gervonta Davis-Rolando Romero undercard at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

In a familiar scene Friday afternoon in Brooklyn, Gervonta Davis pushed his opponent as they prepared to pose for pictures after making weight for their lightweight title fight Saturday night.

Super welterweight contender Luis “Cuba” Arias will face Jimmy Williams in a 10-round showdown, while exciting welterweight prospect Jalil “Major” Hackett takes on unbeaten Jose Belloso for a six-round attraction in undercard bouts that will stream live on the SHOWTIME Sports YouTube page this Saturday, May 28 in a Premier Boxing Champions event from Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Rolando Romero,, Lara, Ramos Workouts Photos Gallery - Unbeaten No.1 ranked contender Rolando Romero headlined a media workout in Las Vegas Tuesday and promised a first-round knockout victory in his showdown against WBA Lightweight Champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis, boxing’s hottest young attraction, taking place Saturday, May 28 live on SHOWTIME PPV from Barclays Center in Brooklyn in an event presented by Premier Boxing Champions.

LAS VEGAS – Tony Harrison smiled Thursday the first time Luis Arias yelled from the audience about his knockout defeat to Jermell Charlo in their rematch. That led to them trading insults during a press conference to promote Showtime’s tripleheader Saturday night at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Arias claimed Harrison ducked a fight against him. Harrison mocked Arias for having the audacity to call him out after his upset defeat to Vaughn Alexander on December 5 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

LOS ANGELES – Luis Arias was supposed to keep busy Sunday against veteran Vaughn Alexander. This time, though, it was Alexander who pulled off an upset in their 10-round middleweight match. Devon Alexander’s older brother produced perhaps the biggest win of his career, a split-decision victory over Arias on the non-televised portion of the Gervonta Davis-Isaac Cruz undercard at Staples Center.

Super welterweight contender Luis “Cuba” Arias will take on veteran Vaughn Alexander in a 10-round showdown that tops the non-televised undercard this Sunday, December 5 in a Premier Boxing Champions event from STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Luis Arias’ career-changing upset of Jarrett Hurd last month has made Saturday night much more interesting for the 154-pound contender. Now that he has knocked off a former unified 154-pound champion, the 31-year-old Arias would love an opportunity to fight the Jermell Charlo-Brian Castano winner next. The Milwaukee native realizes, though, that at least one of the four 154-pound titles at stake in the Charlo-Castano unification fight could become vacant if the winner wants to move up to the middleweight division or doesn’t want to make a mandatory defense of one of those belts.

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida – Leonard Ellerbe was convinced based on what he had seen from Luis Arias over the past six months that he would defeat Jarrett Hurd on Sunday night.
