he latest Magnificent Seven offering from Frank Warren takes place in Birmingham on Saturday, July 20. The bill is headlined by super bantamweight contender Liam Davies against Shabaz Masoud, and it also boasts the eagerly-anticipated rematch for the British middleweight title between champion Nathan Heaney and Brad Pauls.

Liam Davies may have started last week as part of an ensemble cast, but when Queensberry’s latest “Magnificent Seven” show was done and dusted, the unbeaten super bantamweight was the undoubted star of the show.

Super bantamweight Liam Davies (16-0, 8KOs) continued his rapid rise through the ratings following a destructive second-round stoppage of Erik Robles (15-2, 9KOs) at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham on Saturday

British and European super bantamweight champion Liam Davies (15-0, 7 KOs) has got comfortable being uncomfortable during preparations for his fight with Mexico’s Erik Robles (15-1, 9 KOs).

WE LAST WEEK convened to formally reveal the latest of our highly-acclaimed ‘Magnificent Seven’ cards, which will take place at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham – formerly known as the NEC – on Saturday March 16.

Liam Davies enjoys collecting belts. Within 15 fights, the 27-year-old from Donnington has won the English, British and European super bantamweight titles and has also found time to pick up a couple of international straps.

British middleweight champion Nathan Heaney (18-0, 6 KOs), fresh from his stunning victory over Denzel Bentley to claim the title in November, will make his first defense of his Lonsdale belt, against the English champion Brad Pauls (18-1, 10).

After the success of their stacked ‘Magnificent Seven’ show last November, Queensberry look set to continue with the winning formula by promoting another multi-title card in Birmingham on March 16th.
