WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) has been warned, that IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs) is not simply coming to fight - he's coming to win.

Lemieux and Golovkin will collide in a high stakes unification on October 17th at New York's Madison Square Garden. The fight will be carried by HBO Pay-Per-View.

Lemieux is looking to change the landscape of the entire division by knocking off the fighter perceived to be the top dog at 160-pounds.

He feels Golovkin has never really been tested by a true knockout artist with heavy lumber in both hands. Lemieux intends to test the chin of Golovkin as often as possible to see if it cracks. Golovkin will be there, he's a come forward fighter, so fireworks are expected very early.

It's a first for Golovkin, to face a fighter with more knockouts on his record and just as feared for his punching power. Lemieux is far from the only person who is interested to see what happens if a big bomb connects flush on Golovkin.

"We're coming in this fight ready. The guns are loaded," Lemieux stated in a video interview on BoxingScene.com. "I've seen him fight a lot of times also, so I know that he likes to give a great show. But, let's see how he reacts when he's faced with similar adversity. He's a very strong fighter but lets see how he reacts when he gets hit also. It's going to be a tough fight, it's going to be a war.
