It's been two weeks since the bloody war that closed the right eye shut of Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19 KOs) and turned his face into a swollen wreck. but Lebedev, after spending several days in the hospital, has asked the WBA for an immediate rematch with cruiserweight champion Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31 KOs). Lebdev was up on the cards after ten rounds, but was knocked out in the eleventh.

Likely Jones will get a voluntary defense if Lebedev is placed in a mandatory position. Either way, Lebedev wants to return on the Wladimir Klitschko-Alexander Povetkin undercard, which takes place on October 6.
