WBA/IBO junior welterweight champion Erislandy Lara (23-2-2, 13KOs) is wondering what he needs to do to get WBC/WBA/IBF/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (36-0, 33KOs) in the ring.

Golovkin was unable to reach a deal with mandatory challenger Daniel Jacobs for the date, so they pushed back their fight to 2017. Lara was in action back in May when he won a twelve round decision in his rematch with Vanes Martirosyan.

Another fighter Lara is looking to get his hands on is WBO junior middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (48-1-1, 34KOs), who returned to 154 in September with a knockout of Liam Smith to capture a piece of the 154 title puzzle.

Lara lost a controversial split decision to Canelo in 2014. He doesn't expect to get rematch any time soon - if ever.

"Canelo is not worth talking about. I was a victim of a robbery. And Golovkin, who follows right behind the Canelo without achieving anything concrete. No one wants to take a chance with me. They are trying to make a fight between the two of them and it's not going anywhere. I am here, ready for both of them,'' Lara told George Ebro.

"Simply put, the business part of boxing is killing the sport. The managers protect their boxers to the point of ridicule. The best will not face the best. I've told Golovkin, "Hey, do you want me to go up to 160? '' ... nobody answers me. ''

"[Golovkin] does not want to climb to 168 or anything else because he knows that Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev are waiting for him. There will come a time where he won't be able to find any excuses."
