Lara-Smith in Play For December 12 in San Antonio

By Steve Kim

Several sources have confirmed to that a special edition of 'ShoBox' on Showtime will take place from San Antonio, Texas on December 12th. The main event that night will be most likely be a match-up between Erislandy Lara (19-2-2, 12KOs) and Ishe Smith (26-6, 12KOs) for a version of the WBA junior middleweight title.

The last we saw of Lara he was losing a disputed decision to Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (in a catch-weight bout at 155-pounds) over the summer and Smith, since losing his IBF 154-pound belt to Carlos Molina last September, has rebounded with a second round stoppage of Ryan Davis this past May.

Lara-Smith was scheduled to take place in May, but Lara withdrew when the offer to fight Canelo was presented.
"Lara ran" is pretty much the only argument people have for Canelo winning. It's so damn obvious that Lara won, not sure how on earth anyone could honestly say that Canelo won 7 or more rounds.
Who's alt are…
