WBO, WBA and IBF light heavyweight world champion Sergey "Krusher" Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) is motivated to do a job on Olympic gold medal winner Andre "S.O.G." Ward (30-0, 15 KOs).

The two fighters will collide in a week's time, on November 19 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and the fight will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View.

The fight is the biggest and most important in Kovalev's career. To date, the biggest win on Kovalev's record is a 2014 twelve round decision over Bernard Hopkins. While it was an impressive performance, Hopkins was nearly 50-years-old - while Ward is still regarded as one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.

Kovalev realizes that his future direction, his standing in the sport, is riding on this fight. He wants to win the contest by any means necessary and has his mind focused on doing damage in the fight.

Although Ward is the best boxer that he's ever faced, Kovalev doesn't plan to do anything different. If it ain't broke then don't fix it, says Kovalev.

"I don't have any different strategy, my strategy is just the one, any cost to get the victory over him.  He's right now in my way to my goals and to my dreams and I should to do my job and fight for my goals and for my dreams. I want to destroy him," Kovalev said.

"Why should I do something different if what I did before gave me success? I followed my same training camp as usual and it should get me in great shape for November 19."

The winner of this fight will be regarded by many experts as the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, but that is the furthest thing from Kovalev's mind.

"I don't think about what will be after the fight. I have focused my whole attention on this fight and Ward and what I should do inside the ring. We'll see about this after the fight," Kovalev said.
