Christian Hammer-Konstantin Airich on 4/11 in Berlin

EC Boxing promotes a show April 11 at the Universal Hall in Berlin with heavyweight Christian Hammer (15-3) on top defending the WBO European title against Konstantin Airich (19-7-2.) In the co-headliner cruiserweight Nuri Seferi (34-6-1) take on former world title challenger Gusmyr Perdomo (21-3) from Venezuela but at one time signed to Spotlight Boxing in Hamburg. Perdomo fought then WBA super middleweight champ Mikkel Kessler in 2009 but was knocked out in three.

Comeback plans are still on target for heavyweight David Price, but will now come with a new opponent. The Brit returns on January 25 in Stuttgart, Germany, facing Hamburg's Konstantin Airich, who replaces previous opponent Evgeny Orlov. The bout serves as the chief support to the cruiserweight rematch between long reigning titlist Marco Huck and Firat Arslan.

German-based heavyweight Konstantin Airich indeed tested positive for a forbidden substance following his May fight against Odlanier Solis in Texas, and there is an ongoing investigation into the matter but he is still not suspended - and even if he was professional boxing in 2012 still lacks a unified suspension system and he would still be allowed to fight outside of the ABC jurisdiction even if a suspension is supposed to be respected.

Moscow, Russia - In a very short but devastating thriller, WBA #14 Magomed Abdusalamov (16-0, 16 KOs) came off the floor in the first, and knocked out American veteran Jameel McCline (41-13-3, 24 KOs) in the second. McCline started the bout very cautiously but dropped vastly unproven Abdusalamov with his first serious punch of the bout - a right hand. Magomed was down hard but got up and got back immediately into action swinging against McCline. The right hand was still a problem, and he was rocked a couple of times but survived and made it to the next round.
