Klitschko Auctions Off Robe From Joshua Fight, With USB Prediction

WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO HAS raised £160,000 [$215,000] for charity by auctioning the boxing robe he wore in his last competitive bout against Anthony Joshua, along with a USB stick containing his prediction for the fight.

Klitschko retired earlier this year at the age of 41, following his defeat to Joshua in a world title fight in April.

The memory stick was sewn into the garment when he entered the ring at the Wembley arena.

The reigning champion Joshua defeated the Ukranian in an 11th round stoppage to add the WBA, IBO titles to his IBF belt.

Klitschko retired with a fight record of 64 wins (53 by KO) and five losses.

He held the second-longest reign as heavyweight champion, making 18 defences during a title reign spanning nine and a half years.

Klitschko held the auction in the Royal Horticultural Society Halls in London, with all proceeds going to projects supported by the Klitschko Foundation for children.

The buyer of the robe is unknown.

IN OTHER NEWS: The brand new promoter "Chacala Promotions Boxing" will present its second card this Saturday starting promptly at 18.00 at the facilities of the School of Sports of the Polytechnic University of the Municipality of Tecamac, State of Mexico.
 
Estrella "Chacala" Valverde attended the WBC's weekly press conference and commented: "Everything is ready for our second major boxing card in Tecamac that will be headed by the attractive international women's title fight between Japan's Nana Yoshikawa against Mexican contender Dalia Lopez ".
 
"We present the second boxing card of Chacala Promotions, which is a great platform  for many young people, for fighters with extensive experience and great talent," said the WBC International champion.
 
Japan`s  Nana Yoshikawa has a record of 9 fights, 7 won and only two defeats. In peak physical condition and lots of motivation after a high technical training camp…Nana insists that she`s well on her way to conquer the WBC interim flyweight title.
