Herning, Denmark - Jr. welterweight Kim Poulsen moved to 21-1 with a unanimous decision over Nicaraguan Miguel Aguilar over eight in the headliner of this Euro Event promotion at the Skyline Arena. Aguilar was down in the first for a loss with scores of 80-71 on all cards. Poulsen was too big, strong and fast for Aguilar who was picked apart but never hurt.

Anita Christensen returned again and beat Isbelle Leonardi over six two minute rounds in a fight made at bantam. The judges had it 58-56 twice and 59-56 - but to this reporter Leonardi appeared to have won on her steady pressure while Christensen tried to box on the move but never could keep her opponent at bay.

Kasper Bruun (14-0-1, 3KOs), also at jr. welterweight, had been training under Jimmy Montoya when he was in Denmark to improve on his punching power and he did show improvements, flooring Bulgarian Asen Yuseinov in the third and had him rocked in the second and fifth. In the sixth Yuseinov had a point deducted for faking hurt after a low blow - that did look low and moments later Bruun went down off balance and it was ruled a knockdown. It was scored 59-52, 59-54 and 60-53 - numbers that the Danish Federation are likely to look into

Middleweight Abdul Khattab (2-0, 1KO) won every round against Dimitrijs Kalinovskis over four. Khattab hit his opponent with a lot of powerful punches but few connected and Kalinovskis survived despite some rocky moments in the second. Abdul is now 2-0 and trained by Ricard Olsen at the same CIK gym where Mikkel Kessler got his start but no, he is not a new Kessler.

Stephan Alms, also at middleweight, opened the pro-part of this pro-am show with one-sided points win over four over Borislav Zankov from Bulgaria. It was scored 40-36 on all cards.
