They mentioned James Kirkland, Alfredo Angulo and Ishe Smith. It was special with Ishe because not only did they say I could fight him, but they said I could fight him in Detroit. That was an easy decision for me to make and now we are here. "Not only am I getting paid, but I am getting paid to fight right here in Detroit. How great is that?

Ishe Smith (24-5) is looking to make history when he steps in the ring on February 23rd in Detroit, MI against Cornelius "K9" Bundrage (32-4). Smith is looking to become the first native Las Vegan to capture a world title. After a recent training session, Smith spoke to BoxingScene about the upcoming fight and his burning desire to finally fight for a belt.

Smith faces IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage on February 23rd in Detroit, MI. The former Contender series participant is please with the progress being made in his camp. "Training is going good. My sparring partners are great. I am putting in the rounds, putting in the work. I couldn't be happier with the way things are going. We are right on schedule," Smith explained.
On Wednesday afternoon, junior middleweight contender Ishe Smith (24-5, 11 KO’s) could be found inside of the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, as his training camp continued to push forward ahead of his February 23rd challenge of IBF champion Cornelius ‘K9’ Bundrage (32-4, 19 KO’s)
