It looks like WBO junior middleweight titlist, Jaime Munguia, could be getting a slot on the September 15th pay-per-view undercard at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas where middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez square off in a rematch.

Williams recently defeated Nathaniel Gallimore back in April.

"I'd take it in a heartbeat,"Edwards told BoxingScene.com on Tuesday.

"First of all, it's a great opportunity, 'Canelo' and 'Triple G' did great numbers in the first fight so its going to be on a large platform and I actually think Munguia is a helluva fighter. I loved the way he won the belt. I think it would be a great fight and that's what it's all about at the top level.

"I would be very grateful for the opportunity and I would definitely take the fight. All they've got to do is give us a call and work it out.:

Edwards, who trains and manages 'J-Rock' explained - "I've heard a couple of things, that he was considering us but I haven't heard anything formal. Nobody has made a call to the right people, nobody has contacted us. But you know how boxing is, there's a lot of rumors but I would definitely be interested in the fight and so would Julian. It would be a great opportunity."

Currently, Williams (25-1-1, 15 KO's) is rated number three by the WBO and number one by the IBF. And should he not get the opportunity to face the 21-year old Mexican, he is scheduled to face Takeshi Inoue in an IBF eliminator.

"That fight is all agreed to, we're just going to have to figure out a good date to put it on and that's the fight we would take," stated Edwards.
