Former IBF welterweight champion Joshua Clottey says he has agreed to fight Prince Patel in what could be his final ring outing in March next year.

In a recent interview, former welterweight champion Joshua Clottey revealed that the toughest bout of his career came against Richard Gutierrez. During his career, Clottey fought a who's who of top names - like Manny Pacquiao, Zab Judah, Miguel Cotto, Antonio Margarito and Diego Corrales. But he felt Guitterez was as tough as his opponents get.

Former IBF welterweight champion Joshua Clottey (39-5, 22 KOs) returned to the ring on Saturday night in a very low-key comeback fight, where he picked up a sixth round TKO win over Mfaume Mfaume (14-6-2, 6KOs).

Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport will be ready to line up the big fights if Anthony Joshua (15-0, 15KO) is victorious in the biggest fight of his career, when he challenges IBF heavyweight champion Charles Martin (23-0-1, 21KOs) on April 9th at The O2 Arena in London, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

‎The Star Boxing® pair of Yunieski Gonzalez and Joshua Clottey both entertained the crowd at Turning Stone Resort Casino, coming out strong early, but each lost on the judges' scorecards in the action fights televised by HBO Latino® on Saturday night (December 19). Vyacheslav Shabranskyy‎ was able to withstand the onslaught of the big-punching Gonzalez (16-2, 12 KOs), and several rounds of toe-to-toe exchanges had the crowd on its feet during the 10-round light heavyweight contest. Shabranskyy (15-0, 12 KOs) won a majority decision, 98-92 and 97-93 with one judge calling it even at 95-95.‎

VERONA, NEW YORK - The 2015 boxing year culminated with a tremendous show at Turning Stone Resort Casino as WBA Interim Heavyweight Champion Luis "The Real King Kong" Ortiz (24-0, 21 KOs) closed the show by maintaining his title with a knockout-of-the-year candidate over Bryant "Bye - Bye" Jennings (19-2, 10 KOs) in the seventh round of their scheduled bout live on HBO Boxing After Dark.

Joshua Clottey had it and let it slip away. It seems to be a recurring theme in the career of the former welterweight champ, as he watched Gabriel Rosado snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in their 10-round middleweight bout Saturday evening at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. Scores were 97-93 (twice) and 96-94 in favor of Rosado, who picks up his first win in more than three years.

Luis Ortiz and Bryant Jennings are ripped and ready for the final HBO telecast of 2015. While a weight limit isn't in place for the heavyweight divisions, both fighters hit the scales during Friday's weigh-in ahead of their 12-round battle Saturday evening at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, New York. Ortiz (23-0, 20KOs) tipped the scales at a healthy 239 lbs. for his third fight of 2015. The unbeaten southpaw from Miami by way of Cuba makes the first defense of his secondary version of the heavyweight title. His most recent performance came just two months ago, knocking out Argentina's Matias Vidondo in three rounds this past October at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

VERONA, NEW YORK – Fighters featured on the December 19 HBO Boxing After Dark and HBO Latino shows shared their final thoughts ahead of Saturdays fights at the final press conference today at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, New York. Former heavyweight world title contender Bryant “By – By†Jennings (19-1, 10 KOs) of Philadelphia was joined at the final press conference by his opponent Cuban heavyweight Luis “The Real King Kong†Ortiz (23-0, 20 KOs), who will clash in the main event on the HBO Boxing After Dark telecast on Saturday for the WBA Interim Heavyweight World Title.

As Gabriel Rosado prepares for his December 19th clash against Joshua Clottey at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in New York, he will have a familiar face in the corner - former junior middleweight champion Fernando Vargas, who now owns and operates the Feroz Fight Factory in Las Vegas and now trains boxers.
