Josh O'Reilly: record, next fight and profile →
James Tennyson blasted his way to the verge of a shot at Teofimo Lopez or Gervonta Davis as he stopped Josh O’Reilly in less than a round in their WBA lightweight title eliminator on the Sunders-Murray bill at the SSE Arena, Wembley.
It’s not the dream opportunity Billy Joe Saunders expected this year, but nevertheless a chance to at least fight. The unbeaten two-division titlist from Hatfield, England aims to make the second defense of his super middleweight belt as he faces domestic rival Martin Murray of St. Helens, Merseyside. The pair of Brits both made weight for their headlining act, which takes place Friday evening live on Sky Sports and DAZN from The SSE Arena, Wembley.
James Tennyson says he is ready to step up to the next level and mix it with the best 135lbs fighters on the planet, and the heavy-handed Belfast banger intends on proving it when he takes on unbeaten Canadian Josh O'Reilly at The SSE Arena, Wembley this Friday, live on Sky Sports and DAZN.
James Tennyson will face Josh O’Reilly in an Eliminator for the WBA Lightweight World Title on the undercard of Billy Joe Saunders' WBO Super-Middleweight World Title defence against Martin Murray at The SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday December 4, shown live on Sky Sports and DAZN.
