The third round was becoming a target practice session. Garcia was being outworked and tagged very often with combinations. Diaz continued to dominate in the early part of the fourth. In the later part of the same round he was taking a few good shots, but his counters were coming back strong to regain control.
Diaz was outworking Garcia in dominating fashion in the fifth. Garcia was unable to adjust to the speed and awkward punches that were coming at him. No shortage of gas for Diaz in the sixth, as he dominated the action from start to finish during those three minutes.
The punishment was starting add up in the seventh, with Garcia's face being busted up from Diaz's punches. Garcia was trying to let his hands in the eight, and found some success, but Diaz came firing right back with some good shots. Garcia continued to get punished in the ninth, while not being able to land most of his counters. Even Garcia's power shots were having little to no effect at this point in the fight.
They started off the tenth and final round by trading hard punches. Garcia was going for broke and throwing everything possible in his arsenal. Diaz was being defensive when need and firing back when the openings were there. Diaz was still landing the better punches and doing more damage when traded shots on the inside.
