The current WBC featherweight champion, Jhonny Gonzalez, has no objection to defending his title against Jorge "Travieso" Arce, who audaciously challenged him via the social networks.

Jhonny advised Travieso to iron things out with Promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions. He also advised, before the scrap of the little big men can happen, there'll have to be a truce between rival Mexican TV networks Televisa and Azteca. And it might not be possible to toast to anything in beer, because there are rival companies involved in the frothy sphere!

World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman, says the WBC has no problem in authorizing this fight. Sulaiman said if the fight does takes place this would be one of the most attractive of the year due to the quality and charisma of both boxers.

In a telephone link with Jorge 'Travieso' Arce, he expressed his desire to become champion in six different divisions, but especially being able to retire as the WBC champion.

Arce, one of the most beloved Mexican fighters said has prepared the perfect dose to face Gonzalez.

For the time being, calm and unfazed Jhonny will next fight on May 24th in Acapulco.

“I’m willing to face “Travieso” - he’s a great boxer, warrior, he has five different titles and that’s something. The problem is the TV stations, the promoters have to negotiate,” Gonzalez grinned.
