As reported by multiple outlets earlier this week, middleweight contender Jermall Charlo had lost more than $150,000 in cash and jewels when a group of women swiped his bag at the 40/40 Club, which is owned by Jay-Z, on W. 25th St. near Broadway in Manhattan, New York.

But the majority of the items have been recovered.

Police sources told media that Charlo's Louis Vuitton bag was filled with $40,000 in cash and $115,000 worth of jewelry. The jewelry was recovered, the cash was not, according to police.

According to several New York papers, Charlo and his crew were involved in some type of altercation at the club - and during the commotion the boxer's fiends left his Louis Vuitton bag unattended on a table.

When Charlo returned to his seat, the bag had vanished.

The nightclub had a different version of the events. They had video footage that showed someone in Charlo's entourage handing the bag to the woman, to keep an eye on it, when the altercation happened - and then the woman and her friends departed the club with the bag.

Local police reviewed surveillance footage and spotted five women leaving the club with the bag.

After getting numerous tips regarding the woman on the Crime Stoppers hotline, she turned herself in to avoid further legal issues.

She was arrested and charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Charlo was in town to watch Deontay Wilder defend his WBC heavyweight title against Luis Ortiz at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

After the fight, Charlo was involved in a heated confrontation with former WBA middleweight beltholder Daniel Jacobs. Some words were exchanged between the two boxers and their friends.

Charlo is scheduled to fight for the WBC's interim-title on April 21 against Hugo Centeno Jr. in a Showtime televised bout. The main event will feature Adrien Broner fighting Jessie Vargas.
