Among some of the fights being discussed for Morales' undercard includes a featherweight clash between WBA champion Chris John and challenger Daniel Ponce De Leon. Another fight is a possible rematch between junior middleweights James Kirkland and Nobuhiro Ishida. On the undercard of Morales-Maidana, Ishida scored a shocking first round stoppage of the previously undefeated Kirkland.
