Carlos 'El Indio' Quintana, a former WBO welterweight champion, could return in August or September and he's being being mentioned as a potential opponent for Mexico's Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo and James Kirkland, revealed his trainer Jose Bonilla.

"I talked to Lou DiBella and we are negotiating for a fight in August, September and those two are being mentioning. They are both strong but Quintana is at a stage where we must seek the fights that present good money. Quintana is also strong at 154 and we must negotiate something for Carlos, who is looking for big fights for good money," he said.

Angulo is has a record of 19-1 and 16 knockouts while Kirkland has a record of 27-1 with 24 knockouts and returns from an April upset defeat where he was stopped in the first round by Nobuhiro Ishida, who sent Kirkland down three times.

Quintana, meanwhile, who broke the unbeaten streaks of Joel Julio and Paul Williams, has a record of 28-3 with 22 knockouts.
