Jack Flatley: record, next fight and profile →
IT WAS QUITE some night at the fighting cauldron otherwise known as the Telford International Centre on Saturday. It really is a top venue to watch boxing and the fans were out in force, as usual.
Super lightweight contender Jose “Chon” Zepeda (36-3, 27 KOs) picked up ten round unanimous decision over Neeraj Goyat (17-4-2, 7 KOs) at the Domo Alcalde in Guadalajara, Mexico.
IT IS DESTINATION, Telford, on Saturday when the International Centre will stage at least a couple of real humdinger fights to a backdrop of the best atmosphere in boxing.
NATHAN HEANEY REPORTS that his dashing good looks are still intact with his facial features having survived a brush with the dome of Jack Flatley back in September.
I WAS DELIGHTED last week to be able to officially signpost a proper banger of a heavyweight fight for April 15 when Big Joe Joyce goes up against Big Bang Zhang, otherwise known as Zhilei Zhang.
NATHAN HEANEY WILL rematch Jack Flatley with the vacant WBA Continental middleweight title at stake and Andrew Cain will defend his WBC International Silver super bantamweight title against Ionut Baluta when Queensberry make a return to the Telford International Centre on Saturday March 25, live on BT Sport.
Anthony Cacace has had so much bad luck over the last couple of years, but things might just be turning his way after he lifted the IBO super-featherweight title with a split decision over Michael Magnesi on the Joyce-Parker bill in Manchester.
THE HONEYMOON IS on hold for newlywed Nathan Heaney due to a big night beckoning at the AO Arena, Manchester, where he takes on a domestic battle with Jack Flatley on September 24.
ANTHONY CACACE, EKOW Essuman, Nathan Heaney, Raven Chapman and Mark Heffron all feature in the supporting cast of the September 24 Joyce-Parker 'Nowhere to Run' blockbuster at the AO Arena, Manchester being shown exclusively live on BT Sport Box Office. Joyce vs Parker is promoted by Frank Warren for Queensberry Promotions in association with BOXXER.
JACK FLATLEY insists he never wants to be second best ever again. The Bolton Super-Welterweight is back in action next week less than three months after travelling into European champion Kerman Lejarraga's Bilbao's backyard where he lost in nine rounds.
