Evander Holyfield, 57-years-old, recently informed BoxingScene.com that he was very interested in returning to the ring for an exhibition bout.

Holyfield expressed his interest in taking part in a trilogy fight with another former undisputed heavyweight champion, 53-year-old Mike Tyson.

Tyson himself had recently revealed his desire to return for a few exhibitions to help raise money for charity.

Holyfield pulled off one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history, when he stopped a heavily favored Tyson in eleven rounds in 1996.

Their 1997 rematch is even more famous than the first, because Tyson was disqualified in three rounds after biting a piece of Holyfield's ear off.

The two Hall of Famers have since become very good friends.

While Holyfield is interesting in a trilogy with Tyson, he would much prefer to get another former rival in the ring.

"My manager, they’ve been talking and all that," Holyfield told TMZ. "But the fact is that with me personally, I think for me to ask, the only person that I would actually really ask is Riddick Bowe. Me and him are buddies."

Holyfield and Bowe engaged in one of the most dramatic trilogies in heavyweight history.

Bowe captured the undisputed crown from Holyfield in 1992, with a twelve round unanimous decision. Holyfield got revenge in the 1993 rematch, when he won a twelve round majority decision. The rematch had controversy when a man flying a powered hang-glider crashed onto the ring apron, which caused a 21 minute delay in round seven.

The third bout took place in 1995. Both fighters suffered knockdowns, with Bowe securing an eight round stoppage win. Holyfield was up on the cards at the time of the loss.

Bowe was never the same after that trilogy, as he retired after taking a beating in his next two fights - which were DQ wins over Andrew Golota. He attempted a comeback in 2004, but that only last for two fights. He came back again in 2008, for one final win in Germany.

Holyfield on the other hand, only got stronger after that trilogy loss and took part in some of the biggest fights of his career. He captured the heavyweight title on two more occasions and continued to fight until 2011.
