Promoter Eddie Hearn believes Tommy Fury should go in hiding if he loses the upcoming fight with Youtube star turned boxer, Jake Paul.

Paul turned pro on a Matchroom show in January 2020, with an easy knockout victory over Youtube rival AnEsonGib.

The next two fights for Paul was staged on the Triller app, with his most recent fight, in August, taking place on Showtime Pay-Per-View - with Paul winning an eight round decision over former UFC champion Tyron Woodley.

Fury, who fought on the undercard of Paul's August event, has pushed for a showdown with the social media personality.

The two had a confrontation in the aftermath of the event, where their respective teams had to intervene and separate them.

After months of negotiations, their fight was recently announced for December 18 in Miami, Florida - on Showtime Pay-Per-View.

Hearn explains that Fury - a 7-0 pro with 4 knockouts - would suffer significant embarrassment in losing to Paul (4-0, 3 KOs).

"Logic would tell you a pro that boxed for a living and was also Tyson Fury's brother should never lose to Jake Paul. If Tommy loses, he should go to a desert island and just stay there for life. It would be the most embarrassing thing," Hearn told The Sun.

In a recent interview, Tommy's older brother, WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, issued a firm warning that his younger sibling better come away with a victory for the honor of the family.

"If Tommy can't splatter Jake Paul, I'll retire him from boxing myself. He's got ambitions of being a world champion, never mind beating some YouTube guy. His name's Fury. If he can't beat Jake Paul, I'll have to change his name," Tyson Fury said.
