Promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom has continued his war of words with Lou DiBella.

The two promoters have traded wards of several months - with respect to a potential heavyweight unification between IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) and WBC champion Deontay Wilder (40-0, 39 KOs).

DiBella has been very critical as of late with respect to the offer that Hearn, who promotes Joshua, made to Wilder.

DiBella works closely with Wilder's lead manager, Al Haymon.

Hearn recently made an offer of $12.5 million to Wilder.

According to Wilder's handlers, the offer was a bit too low. They believe the fight is currently the biggest in the sport and worth a lot of money.

But, Hearn believes the offer is very fair and he's not willing to pay Wilder anything further, beyond the offer of $12.5 million.

DiBella also erupted over the offer. He believes Hearn needs to open up his checkbook and pay Wilder what he's really worth for such a contest.

“I don’t know what Lou DiBella has got to do with Deontay Wilder and the discussions,” Hearn told Fighthype.com.

“[DiBella] is an events coordinator for Al Haymon, basically. He is not Deontay Wilder’s promoter. Is he involved in negotiations? Absolutely not. And if he continues to wear that hat and that silly ear ring at his age, I will banish him from the sport of boxing.

“Not really, I like Lou DiBella. He keeps trying to get involved but he doesn’t really promote anyone. These shows that he’s doing at the moment – he’s not Adrien Broner’s promoter. He’s not Charlo’s promoter, he’s not Gervonta Davis’ promoter. So what is he doing?

“But he’s got to be a little bit careful because I might give him some work. I’m coming to America, I’ve got a major announcement soon and if he’s a good boy, I might give him some work, I’m not sure.“
