Raymundo Beltran pulled off the upset by doubling up Hank Lundy in power punches landed, hitting on 43%.

By Jake Donovan - It was a hell of a week for Hank Lundy, who spent all week overcoming countless obstacles. The only one he couldn’t clear was the one that mattered most - the battle in the ring. Raymundo Beltran scored the biggest win of his career, outworking Lundy down the stretch to pull out a majority decision in their 10-round lightweight bout Friday evening in Atlantic City. Scores were 95-95 (even) and 96-94 in favor of Beltran, whose slightly busier workrate proved to be the difference in a tightly contested ESPN2 Friday Night Fights headliner.

By Jake Donovan -With all obstacles cleared, lightweight contender Hank Lundy is set for his ESPN2 Friday Night Fights headliner against Raymundo Beltran. The 10-round lightweight bout tops a card which airs live from Resorts Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Lightweight contender Hanky Lundy (22-1-1, 11KOs), who later tonight faces Raymundo Beltran in an ESPN televised bout at the Resorts Hotel & Casino, Atlantic City, has set his sights on a future battle with rising star Adrien Broner (24-0, 20KOs). Broner is scheduled to make his lightweight debut on October 6th at the Boardwalk Hall, also located in Atlantic City.

By Jake Donovan - Leave it to a sanctioning body to save the day (sort of). Hank Lundy benefited from a ruling in the NABF championship rules trumping those of the New Jersey State Athletic Commission, which gave him two hours to make weight for his ESPN2 Friday Night Fights main event with Raymundo Beltran. Lundy weighed in at 134.8 on his fourth attempt of the evening, which means all systems are go for Friday's headliner at Resorts Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Hours after his legal team came up aces in a New York state courtroom this morning, Hank Lundy came up craps at the scales. The lightweight contender came in at 136.2 lb for his ESPN2-televised main event with Raymundo Beltran, 1.2 lb over the contracted 135 lb lightweight limit. Beltran came in at 134.3 lb. for the 10-round lightweight bout, which headlines Friday Night Fights live from Resorts Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Lundy has one hour to lose the extra weight, according to Boxingscene.com video guru Bill Emes, who is live at the scene.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Though he’s closer to the top than he’s ever been in his professional career, “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy’s journey is far from over. Ranked No. 1 in the World Boxing Council (WBC) among lightweights, the Philadelphia native is on the doorstep of fighting for a major world title in 2012, but Lundy (22-1-1, 11 KOs) must first take care of business in front of a national television audience – again – on Friday, July 27th, 2012 at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.

BoxingScene.com has been advised that lightweight contender Hank Lundy will face Raymundo Beltran on July 27 in Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino. ESPN2 will televise the bout, which will be for Lundy's NABF 135-pound regional belt.
