In the last two weeks, IBF/IBO/WBC/WBA middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) has been on the receiving end of numerous verbal jabs from his British rivals, Carl Froch and Chris Eubank Jr.

Last year, Golovkin was in talks to face Froch in the UK. Golovkin agreed to move up in weight, to 168-pounds, for the contest. The negotiations ended abruptly when Froch announced his retirement from the sport.

For several weeks, Golovkin and his handlers were in talks to face Eubank Jr. on September 10th at the O2 Arena in London. Those negotiations also ended suddenly when Eubank Jr. was unable to reach an agreement on the contract terms with his own promoter, Eddie Hearn.

Golovkin will still return on thw September date, but against IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, who is moving up by thirteen pounds to take the fight.

Froch and Eubank Jr. have both criticized Golovkin for facing a much smaller man. Both Eubank Jr. and his father/manager Chris Eubank Sr. have accused Golovkin of "running scared" from fighting them. Froch believes Golovkin is not worthy of being listed among the top 5 pound-for-pound fighters in the world.

Golovkin says Froch and Eubank are following a long list of fighters who talked the talk, but were never able to walk the walk.

"I'm Ok. It's just not Carl Froch or Chris Eubank. This has been [happening to me for] a long time, even before [I entered the pros]. In my amateur career I beat Lucian Bute, [Andre] Dirrell, I beat everybody. I go into my pro career, and for two years - Felix Sturm, the German champion, he said 'no, no I don't want to fight with you.' Daniel Geale [didn't want to fight], [Miguel] Cotto, Canelo, everybody [didn't want to fight]," Golovkin explained to BoxingScene.com.

"Every fighter, it's interesting, they just won't fight. [What Froch and Eubank are saying] is not new to me. Froch, Chris Eubank...they are just talking. This is not serious. This is like clowns. Everybody says 'I want to fight you - but not next. Maybe five years later.'"
