Carson, California- The war of words between Gennady Golovkin's team members and super middleweight Andre Ward (28-0, 15KOs) continues to play out.

While Ward has stood firm that he made an offer of 50/50 to fight Golovkin before a deal was finalized with David Lemieux, Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez says that’s completely untrue.

Sanchez also chimes in that Ward is always changing his position on the situation and attempting to regulate their side of the fence.

“Andre Ward has been going back and forth on what he wants,” Sanchez told BoxingScene.com.

"He can’t make up his mind. He had the deal with Dan Goossen where he went to court and lost three times. Now he has the deal with Roc Nation Sports and says he wants three tune-ups before he fights us. We as the Golovkin team can’t wait with what Andre wants to do. All these things that are happening for us now have been planned already.”

Golovkin (33-0, 30KOs) meets Lemiuex in an IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight unification on October 17th at New York's Madison Square Garden. Ward, who stopped Paul Smith in June, is being positioned to see action on the Miguel Cotto-Saul Alvarez undercard on November 21 in Las Vegas.

Sanchez and Golovkin are moving forward with the plan they put together last year, which is to unify all of the middleweight titles and right now they are on the course to doing so with the Lemieux - and should he win that bout he will become the mandatory challenger to the winner of Cotto vs. Alvarez, who collide for the WBC middleweight crown.

“We said we wanted Cotto-Canelo when we fought Rubio here last year and that will come to light soon,” explained the trainer.

"All these things that Tom Loeffler and the Herman Brothers have planned, Andre Ward can’t suddenly decide what he wants to do when we have fights already signed. Ward said he would fight us after we signed the unification fight.”

Ward says they offered to fight Golovkin before Golovkin had signed to fight Lemiuex, which Sanchez had harsh words for.

“He’s a liar. He did send an email after the Lemieux fight was signed. The records will show that. He’s making an effort after we have a career planned for Golovkin. If it’s not Andre Ward, it’s not Andre Ward. Until we get these unification fights, he’s not on our radar until he fights and becomes relevant again,” Sanchez said.
