London’s George Groves (26-3, 19 KOs) already has Chris Eubank Jr. in his sights despite not yet opening his World Boxing Super Series account. “The Saint” meets Swindon’s Jamie Cox (24-0, 13 early) at London’s Wembley Arena on Saturday night in a fight that he believes is his for the taking, and one that will set him up for a semi-final match-up with Eubank, who beat previously undefeated Avni Yildrim by third-round KO in Stuttgart on Saturday night.
IBF, IBO, WBA, WBC middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (37-0-1, 33 KOs) is one title away from unifying the entire division at 160-pounds. Once that goal is achieved or even abandoned, Golovkin may pursue the idea of capturing a world title at super middleweight - which is eight pounds north. One of the top fighters at the weight, WBA super middleweight champion George Groves, believes the undefeated fighter should remain at 160-pounds - and avoid, if possible, a move up.

George Groves returns to the scene of his tragic fight with Eduard Gutknecht acknowledging that that night has changed him as a fighter. He makes the first defence of his WBA super-middleweight title against Jamie Cox at Wembley Arena in his first fight of the 12-stone edition of the World Boxing Super Series. Victory will secure a semi-final against Chris Eubank Jnr in early 2018, but even if Groves can be expected to fight with greater confidence having finally won a world title, he could yet be coping with further mental baggage.
Chris Eubank Jr. is predicting a victory for George Groves (26-3, 19 KOs) over his Ali Trophy quarter-final opponent Jamie Cox (24-0, 13 KOs) on Saturday at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London. IBO super middleweight champion Chris Eubank Jr. claims that he "dominated 90 percent" of the sparring sessions with George Groves, who holds the WBA's version of the 168 puzzle. Eubank is very eager to blast out Groves and eliminate him from the World Boxing Super Series tournament. Last week, Eubank punched his ticket to the tournament semi-finals, after traveling to Germany and blasting out undefeated Avni Yildrim last Saturday night.
