LAS VEGAS - Lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (27-0-1) recently spoke to select members of the media at Top Rank's headquarters in Sin City.  On June 15th he faces unbeaten Tom Schwarz (24-0) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The fight will headline a card streaming on ESPN+.

The Gypsy King was reminded that some people compare his style to that of the late Muhammad Ali, who some consider to be the greatest boxer of all time. Fury was very flattered and said that he agrees with the comparison.

"100%. I am just a foot taller and about 100 pounds heavier. Look, Muhammad Ali was the greatest boxer to ever put on a pair of gloves for more than just boxing reasons.  To be compared to a great heavyweight like that is an honor and he was one of my childhood heroes growing up and a man I inspired to be like as a young boxer," said Fury.

In 2015 Tyson Fury captured the lineal championship along with the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight titles when he pulled off a major upset against future Hall of Famer and longtime heavyweight ruler Wladimir Klitschko.

The now 30-year-old Fury didn't hold the titles very long as he fell into a deep depression and abused drugs and alcohol.  All of his titles ended up getting stripped and he also had to serve a suspension levied by UKAD.

When asked to compare where he was at mentally at his lowest point compared to where is at now, Fury said there isn't any comparison.

"Say like a million percent better.  I am ready for anyone they put in front of me. They are only boxers with a pair of gloves on. They are all man made out of blood and bone. I don't give a f*** who they put in front of me, the outcome will be the same," Fury told BoxingScene.com.

"If these so called champions couldn't beat me after I had a few months back from all of that depression, all of the anxiety, all the drugs, all the alcohol, all the weight loss, how the f*** are they going to beat me today? I will tell you how to beat Tyson Fury - with a f***ing baseball bat while I'm asleep and then I am going to get up and kick your ass, 100%"
