Last month at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Usyk outboxed Anthony Joshua over twelve rounds to capture the IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world titles.

This Saturday, Fury will defend his title against Deontay Wilder in a trilogy fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Should Fury win, he will likely stay busy with another title defense in the first half of the upcoming year.

Usyk will face Joshua in a contracted rematch, with dates in February and March already being explored. While he was regarded as a big underdog in the first bout, there are many observers who now view Usyk as the favorite in the rematch.

If Fury and Usyk continue their unbeaten runs, they will potentially collide in a full division unification in 2022.

“I just think he’d be another victim of mine. He’d be another number on the long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long, long undefeated record of the heavyweight champion of the world, me,” Fury told Fox Sports' Ben Damon.

Wilder's co-manager, Shelly Finkel, makes it very clear that win or lose on Saturday night, there is no contractual obligation - for either boxer - to take part in a fourth encounter.

"At this point no. We’ll see what happens in the fight, but at this point no. And I would think, if my clairvoyance is correct, Fury won’t want any more part of him after this," Finkel said.
